SUNDAY 12th SEPTEMBER
2010
We had rai all night, around here they think
the monsoons are comming early, ohhhhh , bleedin
lovely.
thats all we need, a continous warm shower all the
way to Coco's Islands.
We had a slow relaxing morning, and the first thing
on the agenda for today is the check out procedure at
09.30.........
This took just about half an hour.
We got our ships clearances, but as Neill was on another Island overnight , he
will have to do a special
sitting tomorrow morning before we
leave,
An hour later we were off again in the taxi to
Carrefour supermarket to do a major shop, as we basically have to have
enough food
to take us as far as Mauritius, a total distance of
2,500 miles with a stop at the Coco's Keeling Islands for a few days on the
way.
However , they have basically nothing there, and
what they do have will be very expensive.
The shopping took 3 hours, and of course we had a
coffee and an ice cream to boot.
15.00hrs We arrived back to " A Lady" and spent an
hour storing and shelving all the food and dry goods. in the deep
freezer,
in the presses, in the wet locker, under the
floors, under and behind the seating in the saloon. where ever we could
find space.
17,00hrs Terry and Skipper went to the Skippers
breefing at the yacht Club, presented by Rally control , Paul and
Susanne.
18.30, We all went for drinks on Tucanon, You
know, the Dick and Irine couple from England. and later went off
in a taxi again in the rain to Lucatu for
dinner,
We found a great restaurant with lots of dancing
shows and super music,, We all ordered " crispy duck " the
object of this trip.
and would you believe that what we got was
more like " crispy dog " than " crispy duck " yach,
yach,
22.00hrs, Exhausted from eating dog, we got a
taxi back to the marina and had an early night in our dog box. oh I nearly
forgot the night caps, short and
sweet...
Into the scratchers and
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Thats all .
