SUNDAY 17th January 2010

07.00hrs  The Skipper joined Kiven on deckand were followed shortly after by the others, a good was looming in the eastern sky,
However there was no moon for the last few nights,
08.30hrs   We all had showers and got rid of the salt and and all the bodily smells, followed by some clothes washing and cleaning.
During the night , when the wind was blowing stink, we would often shorten sail and run the engine for stability,
this of course gives us plenty of hot water for the showers and washing, etc etc
10.30hrs  Skipper set up the fishing rod again, ( had to wait for FATS to finish his nap first) as the bait and hooks were in his cabin.

11.30       Distance to the San Blas Islands....................51miles
               Distance sailed..............................................615miles
               Speed...........................................................7 / 8 knots
15.00hrs  We could see the islands.

17.30hrs  We dropped anchor in " Islas de Marqui " in the San Blas Islands
the place is full of small sandy islands with palm trees drooping into the sea. Ohhhhh just magic.
The Skip took Aileen ashore in the rib for a swim and cool off after the few days at sea.  We had travelled a distance of 665 miles to here.
LATER    We we had a pork dinner prepared by FATS and devoured by the rest of us.
this was followed by lots of Rum and cokes and then WINE.
Lots of laugh's and finally the bunks, happy that we had arrieved safe and sound.zzzzzzzzzzzzz
