THURSDAY 11th  FEBRUARY  2010

04.00hrs  skipper came on deck and joined Fats on watch. it was a miserable night, wet and humid,
05.oohrs  Fats went to the scratcher , We were now only 5 miles from La Libertad, ( the port we are bound for )
Its still very dark so the skipper Stopped the boat and shut down the engine and we just sat there
untill life appeared at the Marina.
Fats went to sleep in the Saloon, christ ! soon after the noise level rose to an alarming pitch,
Did you ever hear a tank with a broken Exhaust, well thats it.
Try typing a blog in the middle of all this. ! Well just a different environment, but we still love him.

09.00hrs We entered the Marina area and had to do some tight manovering to get into our space,
we were backed onto the marina and with a big surge running, It became trickey getting ashore.
The morning was spent tidying up and checking in at the marina office.

14.00hrs Donal, Stephen and Kevin had lunch in the Yacht club while went walkabouts to the nearest shopping Mall,
Later, The Customs and immigration came aboard to clear the ship into Equador,
Its amazing how these people are the same the world over, There were 8 of them, one doll wearing feckin high heels.
and it seemed she was the boss, The amount of paper was unbelievable, but the skipper thrilled the gang of beaurocrats
with stamping all the papers with his R.I.A.I. office rubber stamp.
We all go savaged by the sun rays , even though it never shone and was misty most of the day, we looked
like a bunch of red turkeys.

18.30   We got into a prearranged bus and off to " Salinas" for Dinner,
All the world A R C people went on this trip and it was great value, $15 per head for a 3 course meal, some free drink and the bus.
Just ( not) like at home

23.00hrs We all arrieved back on board and after a quick night cap, hit the scratchers  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
