SUNDAY 21st March 2010
04.00hrs A very bumpy night, the boat
was really rocking and rolling all night, and that makes sleeping
difficult,
Donal and the Skipper gybed to boat as the wind has gone from ESE to
ENE,
Very light winds, ( we are not used to this on this boat) Pitch black
night , except for the stars twinkling up there overhead.
07.00hrs Beautifull sunrise again, but no
sign of " Crazy Horse" Where did he go ?
10.00hrs Radio Call,The same as every
day, but " Crazy Horse" has gone 1 mile ahead and 9 miles to the north of
us.
We are stil;l holding onto our position, bit if the wind gets any lighter, we
will have to motor, A Lady does not like
light winds and in particular with choppy seas,
11.30hrs We decided to repack the KITE, This
operation took an hour and was difficult in the heat, God is it hot today
!
We
then hoisted the Kite, but during the operation the sail got a tear on the foot,
ohhh feck , does not look good,
so we apply some magic tape, but because of salt on the sail, it really only
half worked,
so we pray that the wind does not go over 19 knots
14.00hrs The wind got so light that the KITE
dropped down over the pulpit and snagged again and the tear became a
monster,
so we took down the KITE, and packed it all away in its bag, ohhhhh its
sooooo hot that the Skip and Fats are melting by now,
The wind is now below 9 knots and we are effectivly
stopped, so ( Feck ) we decide we had to go for the engine,
We still have over 750 litres of fuel, so this is
not a problem, we can motor all the way if necessary.
Fats goes for his siesta, ( I think he will
never be seen again)
A few days of this and He will become, Lean and
mean, ohhhhh our poor cuddily Donal.
Dinner ( by Fats ) was called " turkey a la
A LADY " I dunno what he put into it , but it was tasty,
