We went ashore at Vulcano, anticipating we would visit the volcanic mud bath for a "therapeutic" dip in the acidic mud. It was not open unfortunately. We had lunch and then went for an exploration dip at the black volcanic sand beach where the volcano vents sulphur laden  gas, creating warm bubble baths in the sea. The sea water in the immediate vicinity is acidic and I could not see any fish life. 2:45 we weighed anchor and departed for Milazzo. Motor sail all the way in mill pond conditions. Anchored in a quiet spot in Cala Oliva, 1.3NM away from the busy industrial Milazzo. I swam ashore to get the laydown on restaurants. There was only one option, a hotel with a beach front restaurant, so we headed in there for dinner at 20:30
