Swam the 450m to shore with some coins in my pocket for a coffee and freshly squeezed OJ then back to boat.

Planned to depart at 12:30pm but dinghy rope broke on engine side so had to lower and replace rope, which required threading it through the davit sheaves which are difficult to access. Rated at 780kg BL, it was double sheaved so should have held +1.5t. It failed midway, not at the eye splice so a bit of a mystery.

780kg x 2 rope dinghy lift failed mid point on heavy (outboard  side of dinghy). Bit of a mystery as no obvious damage to rope.
