Tuesday 14 May
Matt, John and I headed over to Cleopatra from Preveza to continue working on the boat. The yard had organized for polishing of the hull, deck and stainless fittings so we had to keep out of their way. We gave the dinghy
another clean with the appropriate inflatable cleaning, redid the dinghy painter and replaced the dinghy davit hoist ropes with new 4mm solid core Dyneema. Incredible rope with 800kg breaking strain. John and Matt moused the all the various halyards in preparation
for fitting the sails (main, genoa, jib, spinnaker). John I drove over to Sail Point at Levkas (20 minute drive) to pick up the new sails from the loft. We returned with the intent of hoisting the sails whilst on the hard however the breeze prohibited that plus the boat
was still being polished. Rain in the afternoon meant the polishing team would have to stop and return first thing Wednesday. Yard clean and polishing boat. Matt cleaning dinghy. Swinging floating draw bridge across channel between Lefkada and the mainland Boat polishing to be completed Wednesday morning Heading for dinner in Preveza
