Depart Porto Capraia for Elba.

Very calm night at anchor. Very attractive island, quaint port strip and delightful village atop escarpment above anchoring position with old fort. Beautiful bay for swimming, crsytal clear water.

John and I had long philosophical discussions over wine and port yesterday evening about the meaning of life, he from his strong Christian perspective and me from an engineering/scientific perspective. To be continued.
