Good winds saw us set sail immediately out of La Ciotat Vieux Port. Unfortunately soon after setting sail the French water police pulled us up and we had to furl the sails, handover ship's papers and passports for them to check, this took about 30 minutes. Edward was very helpful translating in this situation. All clear, reset sails with first reef on main and genoa due to 20kn winds, gusting to 30kn true. Apparent winds 18 to 20kns at 120 degrees to boat, so fast comfortable sail, averaging +9kns COG.

Pix showing water police and return of doucuments, good sailing and a samller yacht with too much sail up.
