We hired a car and then drove into Koper to pick up Andre Proven, a Slovenian friend, from the train station. Andre had come down by train from Ljubljana. Andre then acted as our guide for a trip into Slovenia, including
a leg into Italy to a winery restaurant, then over the mountains to Ljubjana. Andre and his wife Lea kindly provided an excellent dinner at their apartment that evening before we drove back to Portoroz, arriving at Westralia about midnight.
