Over to Cleopatra marina 0830hrs, we had breakfast at the marina café then started on the boat. During the off season, the hull and rudder had been cleaned and more copper coat applied. It had held together pretty well for 10 years. Cutlass bearings had been renewed and various other periodic maintenance completed. We refitted the bimini covers, attached the various safety devices to the stanchions, then we moused the running rigging ready to fit the sails. The sails had been delivered to the boat on the hard by the sail loft group. Sails had been washed, inspected and repaired as required (nothing major, just a couple of wear points patched). We winched the sail bags aboard and then fitted the jib, genoa and main. All good. That just about finished the day so we headed back to town to watch the F1 Grand prix and dinner.
