0830hrs:             Check engine all and water - all good. Depart for Cavtat

0930hrs:             Arrived Cavtat. Had a final breakfast with Francesco Bertagnolio and he left with Lari for the airport at 1030hrs. Arnold and I had a great time with Francesco, one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet. A bit of history; I first met Francesco in Australia when he was working on the Brisbane road tunnel project for Ghella, a privately owner Italian tunnelling contractor. Subsequently we jointly bid a mining project in South Australia where a tunnel boring machine was to be used. That never went ahead. In 2015, when sailing around Sardinia, Julie, Mic Gavrilovic and I visited Francesco's parents at their holiday house in Stintino. Francesco and his Venezuelan wife, Ruth, spent 4 years in Australia, had two daughters there and became Australian citizens. Francesco is now managing a large tunnel boring project in Norway and is based in Oslo. We have kept in touch over the years and he made the effort to spend a few days on the boat in the Adriatic with Arnold and I. Keen, a contributor and loves the water – very appreciative of his company.

After Francesco left Arnold gave the boat a good hose down and put the washing on. That night Arnold and I have a final dinner together before finishing of with a couple of nightcaps.
