John organised lift and launched Westralia at Cleopatra marina morning of Saturday 16 July and commenced boat preparation. John picked Matt and me up from the Preveza airport at 1845hrs and then we headed into Preveza to get organised in the Minos Hotel before dinner, then an early night. Morning of 17th we headed over to to Cleopatra where we fitted the main and Genoa, john had fitted the jib the previous day. Then set about familiarisation and continuing preparing the boat before heading back to Preveza in the heat of the afternoon. We then mototred back to Cleopatra in the tender where John picked up the car, Matt and I returning in the tender to Westralia. Matt crashed whilst John and I headed to the swimming beach for a dip. That evening we had a meal at the Deil and Bar restaurant, very good menu including Thai dishes.
