We departed Cala San Nicolo at 1000hrs in light NW/N winds. Ultimately we flew the Richmond kite and had a very relaxing sail for several hours before motoring close to the spectacular Capo Cattia cliffs before heading to Alghero, where
we berthed stern too near the old town at 1400hrs. A very hot afternoon, about 40 degrees C, so we laid low until the cool of the evening. We walked into the old town and stumbled across a musicians club where we decided to have one beer. This became several beers due to entertainment
provided by local musicians – great night with the guitarists and keyboard player playing local music and a melody of Beatles songs and other western tunes, an absolute hoot. Finally we had a meal at a local outdoor tourist restaurant before returning to Westralia
at midnight. |
