Mark Randal and I arrived at Riva Di Triaino mid afternoon June 10. After catching up with Tiziana we boarded the boat and commenced set up at about 3pm. Fitted bimini frame, covers, made up the beds and carried out a series of checks. Generally all good however still a problem with the loud hailer and the fridge would not fire up.

Giorgio Silvestri from North Sails came on board and went through the work carried out over the winter break, including changing out the running rigging for Dyneema rope.

Andrew Davies arrived about 10pm.

Saturday June 11 we continued set up, removed the old ropes from the boat, continued systems checks. Electrician came and checked fridge and determined a loose electrical connection was the problem with the fridge so all good. Stefano Leonardi from North Sails came on board to discuss North Sails work and recommendations. Raymarine tech came on board late in the arvo to check hailer and determined there was afault min the Icom VHF so will need to replace of have repaired. Andrew and Mark cooked a spag and we spent the evening discussing the merits of various red wine consumed, after the obligatory G&T, finishing with a tipple or two of Jeffersons bourbon.

Sunday 12 June Giorgio and Mauritzo from North Sails came on board and we set out for a test sail returning to Riva Di Triaino marina at midday, dropped them off and then set sail for Porto Turistico Di Roma.

Again great work by Tiziana and Stefano at the boat yard in maintaining and preparing Westralia for the new season and very good service from North Sails in removing the the sails, running gear, cleaning, inspecting and maintaining the sails. Finally rerigging the boat and running new Dyneema ropes and the test sail.
