We managed to get out in light winds for several hours today. Mark and I set the foresails under John's instructions, firstly poling the genoa and jib from the mast and then setting up the twizzle rig. Finally we flew the Tiger's kite and carried out a few jibes. Under the kite we managed very comfortable downwind sailing, attaining 7.3knots boat speed out of 11 knots on a reach. John set off in the dinghy to some pix and video.
Looking forward to some long downwind runs when we finally set off from Civitavecchia.
