The first 24 hours we had company of a few boats. We saw the lit lanternes at night, however they faded away already on the second day.

Not untl the 3rd day we found one boat on the horizon who tried to get contact with us. Among all the 180 boats it showed to be Barry Bland on Mathilda, one of the family boats on our pontoon in Las Palmas. We had a good laugh on the VHF. After a few hours we lost him too and the horizon was empty, empty, empty until the finishing line 16 days later.
