Dear Family & Friends,

Nearly 2 weeks already since we left Sweden…

We first visited Alicante in Spain and Louise’s brother Freddy who is working with Marketing and Sponsor Relations for Team Alvimedica at the Volvo Ocean Race. What a warm welcoming we got from Freddy and especially access to all the fun at the Race Village. At first we had the privilege to get a guided tour on the sailing boat Team Alvimedica. Guess who had great fun ;-)

The day after we attended the first Inport Race of Volvo Ocean Race at the sponsor tent of Alvimedica… and Alvimedica won!! Imagine the excitement among the guests and the onshore crew ;-)

The last day was The DAY for Jörgen. He got the privilege to sail on Team Alvimedica at the Pro Am race. Jörgen couldn’t resist asking if he could helm the start… which he did!

After 4 days in Alicante we flew off to Lisbon to move into our new home in Cascais. Amazingly quickly we feel really well adapted. The kids love the apartment and we are very happy about the location being close to the city and the harbor.

The second day we payed a visit to Louise’s new office Forever Living Products in Portugal where she placed her first order.

We have spent our first days registrering ourselves as Portuguese at the Town Hall, opening bank account, fixing mobil number and setting up Louise’s company in Portugal.

These last days, Alex having Chicken Pox, Jörgen has been on his own at the boat fixing the rest before our Big Day and Louise is at home with the kids ”playing dagis”.

This week-end we will welcome our friends Patrick Lindblom and Håkan & Helena Belvén who will help us sail our first leg down to Las Palmas via Madeira.

We are leaving Cascais next monday 20th of October off to our Big Adventure!
