Great progress!! Tighter rigging and a staysail, even though it isn't
quite the right shape and the size is about the original with one reef
in, makes all the difference. I had to motor for bout 4/5 hours to
keep the speed above 2kts but then the wind filled in and away we
went. At times the SOG was 7kts, must have been a good current. I
arrived at this waypoint about seven hours earlier than I anticipated,
so that shows you the difference. Oh yes, I also scraped-off about
half a tonne of crustaceans before leaving so that must have helped as
well. Right now I'm making around 3.2kts along the north coast of
Madura. Not much wind but calm seas so time to catch up on a few ZZZs.
The fish traps (so far) seem to be all lit.

Pauline has done a great jiob with the cover of the new Karno and has
got the paperback version up and running. It should be available NOw!!

With a bit of luck I'll get 3G signals all along the coast but as
always silence does not necessarily mean trouble. Sometimes these 'new
fangled' communications gizmos can create anxiety rather then relieve
it.
