A peaceful night

I had a great night's sleep, mainly due to being aground two hours either side of low water. It did wonders for the leak as well, i.e. I didn't have to get up every three hours and pump out!

The forecast today is good (aren't they all?) so as soon as I'm afloat, say in about three hours, it'll be 'Two Six HEAVE' and orft we jolly well go to Port Clinton, on the Capricorn Coast. Capricorn Coast? Does that mean it's near the Tropic of Capricorn and it'll be warmer? It is and it might!

I'm not sure if I'll have 3G access there so the plan will be to leave by the 20th and head in stages for Mackay. Hopefully there'll be a 3G signal somewhere along the way but for those who might worry if they don't get daily updates, don't!

When I woke up this morning the anchorage was really quite crowded. Another two boats came in after dark and anchored in the outer part where I am and a very upmarket fisahing boat came in and went straight to the inner anchorage.

It's a beautiful morning and everything is drying out nicely after almost 36 hours of dampness. Just like sailing in the UK and I gave that up as a cold damp job!
