And the gas man came to call. The regulator was OK, but I now have all new flexible hoses. The solid copper pipes were OK. Cost F$235, about £80. Not too bad for peace of mind! Pictures tomorrow. Must get a gas cylinder refill and have a celebratory brew. Hmm, Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong or builders? Builders I feel is more appropriate, must remember to take the tea pot down to the boat and purchase some loose-leaf tea. Oh, the expense of it all!!!!

The rain in Fiji has mainly been falling on Suva today, so no chance of any outside work. In my hull we only have one door to paint, not a long job as it's not fitted at the moment, so I'll probably do it before we put it back. Butto of course was a no show today, well that's one days wages saved. This is his last week anyway, I really can't afford him anymore and have told him that, so of course he'll try and string out the remaining jobs as long as he can.

Tomorrow's job, rain or no, is mark the anchor chain at 10 metre intervals. After that, a rude phone call to Arun the Elektrik (where are you,  you ####) some hull cleaning if Butto is a no-show again or fitting the new hob in place if he turns up. Martin the Meknik has assured me that one engine & gearbox will be fitted this week, but it's all getting just a bit too much. I really should have been in the water a month ago.
