Anchored at 1130 local (1630 UTC) after a 26.50 hour trip from Tintipan. A pleasant sail, if a little lumpy, most of the way. Mainly to windward (hang on a minute, to WINDWARD???? I didn't sign up for this!). Just a little motoring to keep the average speed up as we couldn't use the gennaker. See below.
A couple of JOBS to do (sigh!). The gennaker foil has parted in one section, so we furled the sail away with no apparent damage and will check out the foil in a day or so.
The helmsman's seat 'sank', i.e. the gas strut has collapsed (Si got that 'sinking feeling' during a night watch) and finally it's really imperative that I sew the mainsail bag. A stitch in time and all that.
Finally. We caught a fish. Yes, 'Timmy the Tuna' committed siucide just as I was reeling in the line! About 5kg, we've invited the only other boat in the anchorage, a canadian couple( well, a Canadian chap and Irish lady we met in Cartegen) over for supper.
Now for a quick kip. Happy birthday to 'The Wicked Step Mother' (Rhoda. Sorry I didn't call, no phone signal in the San Blas.
