So it couldn't get any worse huh?

considerably so I 'parked' the dingy along side. Got on board, all was
well and I decided that staying in these conditions might not be a good
idea as a couple of waves had actually broken into the cockpit. In the
meantime, a back-surge had carried the dingy behind the boat and it was
now smashing itself against the transom. I tried to fend it off and wound
up in the water. At the point where I saw the outboard casing had been
torn off and taken the fuel cap with it I knew the dingy was a no go, so
tried to get back on board. I actually got washed back halfway up the
steps, collecting a couple of cuts (minor) and a bang on the head (the
second one actually, the first occurred whilst wrestling with the dingy).
Got back into the cabin and found I was a bit dazed, so called for help on
the VHF. Either Callisto or Imagine immediately responded and offered to
come out and get me but as the conditions seemed to be so bad I said the
workboat would be better. Thank you gentlemen, sorry I can't remember who
it was.
The workboat seemingly arrived immediately, or at least it seemed that
way. The guys manhandled me off into the boat and I spent the trip ashore
in a semi-fetal position in the bottom of the boat. Somebody arranged a
taxi to take me up to the hospital and I think two marina people
accompanied me. Vincent who runs the cafe in the marina also showed up
apparently to guarantee payment should it prove to be necessary, so a big
thank you there. I was checked out by a nurse, vital signs were OK, I
could see straight and there was no sign of any head injury, so after some
time (no idea how long) I was driven back to the marina where I crashed
out for the night. No idea what time that was, but this morning I'm shaken
and not particularly stirred, otherwise OK. Phone and shoes are on the
boat (I hope) so if anybody is trying to ring me you know why I'm not
answering.
In a couple of hours I'll try and organise a ride out to see what's left
of the dingy and hopefully retrieve phone and shoes.
So exactly what is it that I've done to piss you off Lord?
