A pleasant overnight sail from Moorea, with just the odd 25kt squall and
not much rain. There were about 8 boats in all making the trip, so it was
like Piccadilly Circus! We spent a couple of hours motoring once we were
inside the reef to get to this anchorage, but it's a pleasant spot (photos
tomorrow). Aurora B (Mike & LIz) is here, as is Joule (Nanni & Peter),
also a Dutch boat, Serendipity with a chap who I keep wanting to call
Hanneka, but I'm sure that's a female name. Anyway, his name does begin
with an 'H'!! We'll probably be here for a few days before we need to
re-provision at the main town, then it'll be over to the next island where
hopefully a new 'poo-pump' will be waiting for me(yeah, right...mind you,
there is an agreement to re-reimburse me the unexpected excess on my
insurance policy, so maybe it will be there. Such a shame the shower drain
pump in t'other hull has decided to pack up. I've exhausted my thoughts on
it (i.e. checked the connections) so tomorrow when all have recovered from
the crossing I'll enlist some help from an 'electrickery' expert!)
Freya & Helen had a good last day in Moorea, swimming with sharks & rays.
I wasn't altogether happy with the anchorage so stayed on the boat, but by
all accounts I missed a good snorkel.
That's it for now.
