Last week Den kindly took us for a day out to Dargaville, a small town on the West coast of the North Island. D does some occasional instructing there, but this time feet remained firmly on the ground.

Well, that says it all really. A very pleasant drive across the North Island to Dargaville. We actually saw some sheep, the first in New Zealand so far

Not certain if this is a 'more Sun please' dance or a 'don't take my picture' moment.

Believe it or not, this is a micro-light! Or is it a 'Light Sport Aircraft?' Anyway, it cruises at 110kts and has about 3.5 hours endurance.

Duende nestling among the mud flats!

The tracks in the mud are where we were anchored the night before. It was a 'king tide' and  we hardly moved at all, barely knew we were afloat! Oh, hang on a minute.......
