Is a 'ding a ling' the same as a dongle?

I don't know, but I do have a dongle (yes, I also have a ding a ling),
which is how I'm posting this.
Currently sitting out in the anchorage in a gentle 27kt SW zephyr, near to
'Christmas Pudding Island) watching a couple of boats dragging on the
opposite side of the anchorage. Luckily, some people close by had their
dingy in the water and came hurtling over to save the day (the boat is
unoccupied at the moment, for some reason despite the choppy conditions
and strong winds the couple on board decided to take off for the day).
Anyway, I just wanted to say that if you see me online and decide to Skype
me, please ~DO NOT use video. My dongle is limited to 2 GB data (whatever
that is) and apparently Skype is very data hungry. I can call the UK for
the equivalent of £1 an hour on my mobile, so that is definitely the
cheapest option for a long conversation, unless you Skype my mobile.
0220660631
is the number, with a New Zealand country code, which I don't know off the
top of my head.
To find Christmas Pudding Island look on Google earth at the position I
gave then go to the East, you'll soon spot it! Oh, all right then, seeing
as we have so much ooomph in the batteries right now I switched on the GPS
and I've given you a position.
Freya is off on Wednesday, so Tues night we're having a 'pot luck' on
Trouters, the usual suspects will hopefully be in attendance.
Well, that's yer lot for now. I'm busy writing a series of childrens
stories which the agent thinks are 'bloody brilliant' but when (or indeed
whether) that translates into money in the bank I don't know. No more news
on the novel, but then again she said not to expect any this time of year.
