What can I say? The boat didn't move overnight and is still firmly aground
a few metres away from the slipway. There is an idea to use two cranes to
lift her, but due to the long holiday weekend nothing can be planned until
Tuesday. Spent the morning taking a few pieces of 'stuff' off the boat and
locking away anything of value (not much left of that!). Brought a who;le
heap of dirty washing (dirty? Filthy, mud-encrusted and I daren't think
what else encrusted, more like) back to Rose and Vince's, so today (and
tomorrow) I shall mainly be doing laundry, sleeping and studiously
avoiding getting myself into any more scrapes.
One piece of interesting news, somebody called the dive centre yesterday
and said that they had found my wallet in a taxi (there was a receipt from
the dive centre in it). They told him to bring it in to the yacht club but
didn't take a name or number. It hasn't shown up yet but who knows?
Hopefully not much else to write for a day or so, but you never know what
the Universe has in store for me next so 'stay tuned to this channel for
breaking news folks'.
