How long does it take to change a water filter?

Ah, I thought you'd recognise my favourite place on the boat (well, almost but we'll draw a discreet veil over that, shall we?). Well, taking my pre-happy hour shower last night I noticed that the water pressure was low, a sure sign that the filter needs changing. Well, no problem, you just unscrew the filter housing, pop in a new filter and screw the thing back on...right...well, yes, in theory. Couldn't unscrew the filter housing! Hah! Can't delay going to Happy Hour (two bottles of Carib for £1.35p) so spray the filter housing with WD40...and why not...then go ashore.
This morning....
still can't unscrew the bloody housing!
So, disconnect hoses, remove the entire shooting match and take it ashore to see the nice lady at Enza marine, who has a vice.
Right, now your imaginations have run riot for a bit I meant the sort of vice you put water filter housings in and twist. The new filter has been fittied and the whole shooting match re-connected and is in situ, so the ten minute job took.....about 16 hours. Bloody boats.
