Noon position 09/01. Daily run 152.8nm
Hurrah, tea & medals!!!!!! We beat the 150nm barrier.
Mind you, we had a torrid time doing it. Firstly we were attacked by kamikaze flying fish. One had the temerity to damage the gelcoat, I will be suing the family for the cost of rerpairs. The second one landed on the coachroof, disturbing the temple dancers. That was returned to its native environment.
Then we had the 'surfing at 12.8kts' bit, a record for Troutbridge and my word didn't she complain about it, slewing all over the place.
Finally we had the 'winds in excess of 30 kts with exceedingly rough seas for 1.5 hours' bit.
Ah well, all part of life's rich pagentry.
