Arun the Elektrik has been a no show this week. He tells me he has everything he needs apart from solenoids for the anchor windlass, which is a bit crucial. He 'promises' to work on the boat on Sunday, but if he does manage to complete the outstanding jobs to be done before launch then it will be the most I have ever him do in a day.
Martin of course is finding this amusing. No starter batteries connected up, so he'd dodged the question of running the engines. I've let than one slide, because the boat is going in the water on Monday or it will simply never happen. As things stand she'll be a bit of a hulk, but never mind. There is a vacant mooring buoy belonging to the Dive Centre just outside the marina and the rescue boat can tow me out (no doubt at some cost). Right no no free alongside berths (at F$50 per night, even for a club member).
Packing up today (Saturday). I've taken a few things down to the boat, but basically it's just one load. I had thought of moving onto the boat tonight, but with no internal electricity, no fans and a mattress reluctant to inflate maybe I'll have one more night in the house. So. one more 'walk up the hill' then. It'll certainly cut down on the shoe replacement bill.
A couple of jobs to do before launch. Quick ant-foul of the prop blades and one more coat on the rudder blades. Manhandle the two anchors on board, drogue and para-anchor, both a bit the worse for wear! With two cranes, I don't think the weight will be a problem.
Hopefully, Monday night I won't have a headache.
