Flea-less in Fiji

Seeing as the cat has decided that my bed is the 'purrfect' (sorry) place for an afternoon nap, that's the one that starts after his breakfast and lasts until supper time, I decided to embark on a 'flea eradication' programme. Well I think the collar looks smart even if Adina isn't so sure! For the first couple of hours he did a good impression of an unbroken horse trying to get rid of a saddle, tearing around the place and jumping all-four paws off the ground every couple of steps! I took pity on him and took the bell off the collar though.

As you can see, not exactly a 'six pack cat'.

On the boat front, 'Martin the Meknic' assures me he is busy mantlng engines and FINALLY the rudder shafts arrived from Poland. They took one month, all bar two days! So much for an eight day delivery time. Folks, DO NOT USE TNT. Not a word of explanation, not a word of apology.
John the GRP will be working on the rudders next week, but in the meantime I'm off to Brisbane for ten days. Mainly because my Fiji visa is expiring, but I'll have a chance to catch up with 'Bazza of Brizzie', my ex brother in law, buy some charts, courtesy flags and a pilot book (Biggles slowly pulled his pole back....Nope, not that sort of pilot book!).

On the book front, the manuscript has been sent off to Emma the Agent. I'm going to be too busy to do any more editing if I want to make the launch date of April 7th!
Still need to chase up Raymarine, not a word about the autopilot spares. AND 'Arun the Elektrik' has been strangely silent this week, although he did ask what weight the anchor was, something to do with the gearing on the windlass, so maybe he's found something else.....nah, he would have asked for more money, I've probably already paid for it!
