A run ashore

Having been on the boat for two days I decided I needed to get 'my feet dry'. I rowed in about midday, ostensibly to get some 'ayer mandi' (washing water) but actually to have a beer. Well, a beer turned into three and lunch. Nasi Goreng seafood. Seafood consisted mainly of shrimps and the bill came to...£5.That's about 2.5 pints and a lot of shrimps. I'm going back for supper as it's only a ten minute row. Yes I know that busts my daily budget but I have a cunning plan. Pull up a chair and I'll tell you more.

40nm WNW of here is an Island called Gelasa on my chart. Just about a day sail and I'm told, rumour has it etc etc is a good anchorage. From there direct to the anchorage at Lagoi where we check out is 275nm or so. My cunning plan is to do the trip in two hops, meaning that I'll probably be at sea for 5 days in total, so I don't on average bust my daily budget.Creative accounting or what?

This means that you won't hear from me until say the 23rd (a relief I hear you say?). I'll confirm my departure tomorrow but provided I leave as close to 0600 as I can manage I should do the trip in daylight. I'd be really surprised if there's any 3G access on the island but then I've been surprised before.
