It could be worse, it only started the beginning of this week and there is some cause for amusement despite the relentless aural assault of possibly pirated bonhommie.
I've been told that Christmas day is not a public holiday in Malaysia but that hasn't stopped the restaurants in the marina going all festive. The seafood joint has their staff wearing red Santa hats which is fine but it's a little incongruous to see the Malay girls wearing their black uniform headscarves with a red hat perched on top. If the idea of the scarf is to hide the hair from male eyes then surely the Santa hat would do the same job? Never mind the red and black make an attractive contrast, even if the result is a slightly 'Cardinal look', Think Sweet and sour Sea Bass served by the Spanish Inquisition.Two number seventeens and a comfy chair.--
