Day One:
Right, after spending some time trying to mess around with the water tank,
the fridge stopped working. This was due to my managing to separate two
wires whilst trying to remove my left foot from my right ear in order to
exit the SSCP. Removed foot, re-joined wires, fridge fired up but ideally
needed a slightly more robust connector.
Go into town, about a 30 minute bus ride, to a branch of a Caribbean-wide
chandlers.

Good morning, I'd like some of your very best sureguard water filters please.
"I'm sorry sir, we don't have any of that model in stock".
No matter, I'll take a box of 4x 12 gauge red flares please
"I'm sorry sir, we sold the last box this morning".
I see. Well well. How mildly annoying. I see you sell Mercury outboards, I
need a new spark plug and a new fuel on/off switch.
"Yes sir"
Ah, progress, you have a spark plug and a fuel on/off switch?
" Yes sir, we sell Mercury outboards"
So, you carry spares for them, right?
"Er, not as such sir, no. We sell them but we don't carry any spares.
They're sold by the agent just near the marina"
Electric connectors?
"not as such, no".
24mm spanner
"no".
Do you by any chance have anything I could clean out water pipes with?
"No".
Exit stage left, console myself by going into the nearest supermarket and
buying a large bottle of Jack iron rum.
Catch bus back to Marina, go into the Mercury agent.
"I'm sorry sir, there's not much call for spares for 3.5hp four stroke
outboards. We have spares for a 50hp four stroke"
Thank you.
Exit stage left.
Return to boat.
Sample Jack Iron.
Day Two:
Go to Ace hardware store.
They have no filters of the type I want but they do have a length of wire
suitable for reaming out pipes.
Pipes duly reamed out and.......problem remains unsolved.
There has been a suggestion that perhaps the fault lays in the
accumulator. We shall see tomorrow morning!
