Helen and I assisted Delicado in their Canal Transit this weekend. It was
more or less trouble-free and an enjoyable experience (apart from the bits
that weren't trouble-free but as they were of a mildly mechanical nature
and didn't effect the transit I'll spare Delicado's blushes).
Below the link to the Panama Canal website. Assuming no changes in plan,
we go through the Gatun locks on the evening of the 12th somewhere between
5.30 and 6.30 pm Panama time which is 5 hours behind GMT. The 13th if
things go as they seem to have been doing we'll pass underneath the
Centennial Bridge approximately 1100 to 1130 Panama time and through Pedro
Miguel Locks sometime between noon and two pm Panama time, can't be much
more precise than that I'm afraid.
The final shop on the Colon side takes place on the 10th and the 11th will
hopefully be spent 'chilling'. More info as I get it myself.
