Last minute rush-around to get the gas and engine oil. Thanks to Dave for driving me round. The garage that filled my NZ bottle a few months ago decided that this time they wouldn't so I have a 9kg Ozbottle plus whatever is left in the current 4.5kg bottle. Sailing I tend to cook once a day so I don't see this as being a problem. Speaking of cooking yesterday saw the final re-provisioning for the trip. I now really really really have enough dried beans, lentils and dhal to get me to Darwin and quite possibly Malaysia! I fitted the new furling line and very smart it looks too. I' had my final 'buy one get one free' Whopper burger from Hungry Jacks. That's Burger King in the rest of the world but an old Aussie burger-seller had registered the name in Australia and wouldn't either sell the name or license it.

It's lucky that I still have (until about 1030 this morning) Dave's dingy and 15hp outboard because the second anchor was well dug-in but by 0930 it was on board and stowed away. I'll pick Dave up 1030-1100 to return the dingy with many grateful thanks then it's grunt and curse to get the main anchor up and drift down to Rivergate marina to refuel. I'll anchor down there for the night then take the morning ebb to Moreton Island. If I'm feeling fit and alert I'll continue on to Fraser Island to catch up with Calypso, Viatrix and maybe Wanda if Philippa and Kevin haven't moved on. Either way all being well should be in Fraser Island by the weekend.

Let the adventure re-commence!
