Anchor up 0540, anchor down 1630
15/09/13

According to the Navioncs chart I'm 0.35nm onshore. Not too accurate then and has been a bit wayward for the last 15nm.

I had a stonking four hour sail and covered half the trip distance then somebody switched off the wind! I've been sailing/motor sailing since then, more or less. Still, at least I had a chance to do a temporary sail repair using the last of my rip-stop. Hopefully I've stopped the rip from growing until I can do a 'proper job' in Bali. It's probably two days work with my not so nimble fingers. Still, the batteries are fully charged.

This is a ramshackle-looking fishing village. The anchorage is very deep close to shore. I found a 3.9 metre patch and then drifted out over 13 metres. We'll see what happens next! Hopefully no dragging like last night. One thing here, no kids have come paddling out to see me (yet). I suppose I might not be really welcome but nobody gestured me to go away. As I said the charts are innacurate but iot breaks the trip to Bali.

Tomorrow I'll make an early start (is there any other sort of start?) and head for an anchorage on the small island of Pulau Medang. It's about 25nm away and then that should leave me with 145nm to go to Bali which I'll probably do in one hop. It's only 167nm from here so whether I go direct from here or P Medang I'll be spending two nights at sea. There is a further possible anchorage en route  at Pulau Lawang off Lombok but that would still leave a night at sea to Bali so probably not. I'll decide tomorrow when I'm actually sailing past P Medang.

Whatever route I should be in Bali by the 20th.
