After two weeks of lounging around, drinking too much and crewing in the Easter Regatta, it was time to move on. Tiger Frightener had left on Wednesday and we said we'd meet them in the Tobago Cays (pronounced Keys) at the weekend. After drinking far too much at an impromptu party last night, the 'quick shop' took a little longer than anticipated this morning, the wind was a bit more on the nose than anticipated, so it became apparent that it would be prudent to anchor for the night in Canouan, rather than press on to the Cays. I heard 'TF' on the radio attempting to contact a diving shop, so told them we'd see them tomorrow.
Aren't water makers a wonderful invention (once they work OK)? We last filled up (in Rouseau, Dominica) about 27 days ago, and the day before  yesterday the tank was showing signs of becoming empty. To fill up would have cost about $100EC and to run the engine for about 10 hours to fill up about $12EC in fuel.... a bit of a no-brainer! The WM is producing 48 litres per hour in these water temperatures, close to the advertised 49 litres per hour.
Oh yes, the boat is booked to be lifted out at Peakes in Trinidad and I have booked flights back to the UK for a months visit. All go here, innit?
