STILL got low pressure in the water system, although it is possible to
have a shower (lucky I'm on my own at the moment though :) )
I emailed Jabsco (makers of the water pump) help desk, who were helpful
but I'm afraid wrong!!! Their explanation was that the water filter was
too much for the pump model I have, but as the system has worked in the
immediate past that can't be right.
The next step is to see if I can source some thin drain-cleaning pipes
and ream out the pipe from the tank to the pump (and I can't tell you how
much I'm REALLY looking forward to getting back into the SSCP). Given my
mechanical skills, I hesitate to strip the water pump and inspect for
'foreign bodies' which was the other Jabsco suggestion.
If any reader has any suggestions I'd welcome them, I'm running out of
ideas (and patience).
On a brighter note, I had to 'top up' the dingy this morning, but it had
remained acceptably inflated for nearly 5 days.
Amazing Grace, a Broadblue 415 in this years ARC is doing well. You can
check their blog on the Mailasail blogsite. It brings back memories!
A last note, had an acknowledgement from Yachting Monthly about an article
I wrote and submitted....it's 'under consideration'.
