Not too sure what Google Earth will make of this position as we're off the chart! Anyway, decided to got to a resort for the weekend, looks nice so we'll go ashore tonight and see what's what (yes, that is a euthanism for having a beer ashore). The trip up here was uneventful, 2 hours with a flood tide and plenty of water. The resort has an airstrip so very civilised. There is a boat anchored about half a mile away, I'm told it belongs to a German couple who have settled here so tomorrow we may go over and say hello........this mad social whirl, I tell you :)
The trip to the falls is booked for next week, it will involve two nights in Georgetown due to the time of the flights/ferries, so I'll leave the boat at Kits place where Dominic (Kits right hand man) can keep an eye on her as well as give us a lift to Bartica to pick up the water taxi. It's a pity we can't spend a little longer in Guyana, but Pam & Jim have to get back to Trini to import some spares and time is beginning to gently slip away. I'd like to be in Grenada the beginning of Nov and then en-route to the ABCs by the mid/3rd week of Nov. Then it'll be westward ho! to Cartegenia (Colombia), the San Blas islands and Panama. Not sure where we'll be for Christmas, probably Cartegena or the San Blas.
