After a week of not a lot happening, we've suddenly accelerated out of the pit lane.
Today has been spent buying wire (naturally, not a day goes by without spending something!) putting up the salon roof lining panels to get the wiring run correct and last but not least shifting the batteries to a new position.

After some thought, we've decided to put the bloody things where you can actually get at them, pictures soon but for those of you who know the boat the plan is to build a battery box just inside the saloon, running the length of the patio door. That way the weight distribution is right, and replacing them in due course will be easy (thus guaranteeing that they will last for years!).

I'm on the trail of a good 'gas man', so the hob should be fitted shortly and the installation checked out. Timely, as unfortunately a yacht up in Savu Savu has just blown up. I think two people killed, I don't have any details but will put them on the blog when I do. I believe that it might have been an American boat and a couple of people thought that theI boat was in Suva recently. Try Googling 'The Fiji Times' or the Fiji 'Sun'.
