En route to Gelasa it was occurring to me that about 10+ boats also seemed to be going there as well. It looked a small anchorage and as always I would be the last to arrive.

I heard Jackie on Tintin saying that because it might be too crowded they were going direct to an anchorage on the NW tip of Bangka Island. It seemed like a good idea so I got the coordinates from her and here I am. A 47 hour trip!!! That others probably did in 24. As it was I motored for the first 24 hours but I now only have about 50L in the tank plus approx 15L in a jerry can as a reserve.

The plan now is to leave tomorrow, 18/10/13 and make a 90nm hop to Lingga Isle. That might take 30-36 hours so arrival in the afternoon on the 19th. Leave O’crack sparrows on the 20th and arrival Bintan Isle, the checking-out port, on the 22nd, maybe early in the morning or maybe not. There isn’t a lot of wind about and I’m seriously under-canvassed which on this leg was a real problem. Hey Ho, not far to go now and the beginning of a new chapter.
