I was wondering why I didn't do this before, lost photo opportunities and all that. Then I remembered this is the first time I've had decent wifi and I didn't want to clog up my primary navigation system. Anyway, gosh now I can make U tube trailers for the books....or perhaps not

Anyway, this photo from the IPad (expect some more!). Taken from the balcony overlooking the river, those who were here will notice a new island in the middle of the river. Reclaimed land. In a few days, the rate they're going the island will be joined to the bank on the other side. Then they'll probably start building yet another block of flats.

Although  the Hop Hing cafe was pretty much a one off, regular readers will remember that place and at least a few of you have actually visited it, I have found a similar place just up the road. You'll remember the Hop Hing breakfast bun and a large mug of tea came out at around £1?

Well This place does something they call 'Pattaya'. a sort of omelet with two slices of bread inside it and topped with sliced hard-boiled egg, tomatoes and cold beans. Oh good, more beans and here was me nearly run out of the things! That and a mug of coffee comes out at £1.70p. Pictures tomorrow, if I remember to take the IPad. This is definitely within the budget and sets me up for the days writing.

Oh yes, I'm on the penultimate chapter of the new Karno. Er, waiting to see your idea for the cover Pauline. No pressure of course but sometime this year would be good. Just kidding
Or not
