The Internet is a really amazing tool. Thanks to all those who sent me info, particularly Eric who sent the manual; John who sent some useful links and Steve who's going to take a look at his unit to day to see if it can be done in situ.

Mathew the mechanic had been 'warned' that I will need his services. He's done some major work on four rally boats and all concerned are pleased with his work. I've very quickly scanned the manual and read a couple of articles where people have had a similar problem so it may just be a matter of adjustment rather than spare parts. One interesting thing is the advice now is not to use ATF but rather a thicker oil with greater viscosity, 15/40 was mentioned. If we (i.e. Mathew) has to drain the fluid reservoir then I'll change over.

Once again many, many thanks. Right, having been taken ashore by Calypso I had a large beer and Gado-Gado (vegetables in peanut sauce, the healthy option :)) for the princely sum of $5. My daily budget so that's alright then I'm going to catch up on some sleep. Tomorrow is another day.

PS
Today is now as I wasn't able to post this last night due to technical problems. I've had a good sleep so 'bring it on'
