We got the new veggie-store set up. It ain't pretty, it ain't my brother, but it should do the job.
A bit of the old yellow paint and it'll look, er, yellow .
To remove for cleaning you just unscrew four screws. pretty nifty if not pretty pretty, eh?
Finally, I've hacked it, everlasting Jimmi Chews! What you do you see, is when 'de old holes' am appearin in de soles' is
put some Gorilla tape (yes, that is a trademark name) on the inside of the shoe, then sikkaflex the hole on the sole!
I'll never need to buy any more shoes ever again, which is lucky really because I'm now officially broke (again). Thank God for an overdraft facility. I'm 'shopping with Arun' tomorrow. 'We' need some more wire and battery terminals for the starter batteries which we picked up today. Hopefully I can pay by card, because I can go overdrawn on a card purchase but it won't let me withdraw cash. Swine bank!
Anyway, a side benfit of the shoe modification program is that the Sikkaflex is obviously non-slip, because I now don't in the wet, if you see what I mean, and the Gorilla tape stops my feet sliding around in the shoes in the wet as well. Taking this to its logical conclusion, provided you're staying in the Tropics, you could just Sikkaflex the soles of your feet. Could be a bit tricky if you went in for 'evening feet' though, how would you change the colour of the Sikkaflex? I though of perhaps putting a layer of sikkaflex on the bottom of some velco, then velcroing the whole kit and caboodle to my foot, that way you could have 'evening feet' and everyday feet, but how to attach the other bit of velcro? Stapling it to my soles seemed a bit extreme, not to say painful. Oh well, back to the drawing board, as usual.
Oh yes. Martin the Meknik is telling everybody who asks him about the engines and will they be ready by Friday 'no problem, don't worry'. Needless to say I'm worried.
