Some hours later it emerged, looked out of the door and saw that it was raining. Cats aren't stupid, it went back into the depths of the boat. Later, after the rain had stopped it left. That left me wondering whether there was a litter of kittens on board. Time will tell but at the moment I'm torn between providing cat food to avoid finding half-dead 'things' around the place and not encouraging a prolonged stay.
