That Flanders and Swann Moment

Those of a certain age and from the UK will remember humerous songs by Flanders and Swann. One such concerned a 'London Omnibus', another was began 'It was on a Monday Morning when the gasman came to call'. This details a series of domestic woes when successive tradesmen attempt repairs around the house and make more work than they found when they arrived.

Yesterday the electrician came to call. I now have a faulty ignition switch, a heat exchanger pipe that leaks directly onto the alternator and he really won't come again until Martin has got the other engine fully assembled and ready to connect up. The only brighter news is once again the starboard engine did start. A little less water in the oil would be more reassuring though.

Still no sign of the 'missing' alternator and starter motor. I will be ringing the police later today to see what, if any, action they now propose to take.
