After a short 'blast' round the corner from Bahia Guayraca, we're now in the resort town of Rodadero, anchored about 100 metres off the beach. Totally surrounded by pedallos, towed 'bananas' and curious local boats. Also curious is the fact we're anchored next to a boat called 'Cocquie', last seen in Grenada. I didn't think the owners plans included coming to Colombia as his wife wasn't keen on sailing long distances!!! They're ashore at the moment, so we may not get a chance to ask him as we're off at the stroke of midnight to cross the 'dreaded' Rio Magdelena at first light and avoid the strong winds/high seas for which the river mouth is infamous.

Simon is dying to go ashore and check out the size of the bikinis on the beach. I, of course, am above such things (and ass 'El Capitanao'have first use of the ships binoculars).

All being well, should be in Cartegena by the 8th or 9th. Then a pause for breath, hopefully replace the 'poo-pump' diaphragm, maybe a new starter battery and maybe even a new temperature control for the fridge. Lucky I brought a new boat so I wouldn't need to worry about maintenance for a couple of years :)
