Swinging into action, Herr Tarzan unerringly riveted the strut holder in place, dare one say with a certain precision and
All is good! Mast repairs completed and rigging inspected. Passed A-OK. That I think may be the first job started and finished without some major hiatus, drama or raised blood pressure. It didn't go completely smoothly, but we are talking about a boat.
Whilst I went swanning off to get a new furling line, Butto did a fine job of cleaning the cockpit.
He seems very impressed by the cushions on the settee. I think they're very tired looking now, but hey, I had a snooze on it during the lunch break and it's beginning to feel like home.
I bit the bullet and brought a decent furling line. F$248 for 25 metres.
I'll get the sails delivered on Monday. Martin seemingly took the bloody day off today. I saw him messing around on his mate's fishing boat. He really has absolutely no sense of urgency, or indeed no sense of shame. It's not even worth the trouble shouting at him, it just raises my blood pressure, he gets a hang-dog look and then....nothing much happens.
Having said that, John the GRP has been busy painting another boat this week. Granted we don't want to put the anti-fouling on yet, but there are a couple of jobs that he could be finishing off. Of the Elektrikery-men there is no sign. I will attempt telephonic communication tomorrow.
The galley's all strapped down and ready to go.
