Finally got away. Chaps working on the boat up until almost the last minute. I was going to over-rnight to Poole for the weekend but just felt too knackered so aimed for Alderney instead. Jan & Dick's birthday present (the buoy clicker-up) worked a charm and here I am for the night, ready for a crack of sparrows (NOT Capt Jack Sparrow) start! Pleasant evening, a few boats in the harbour. Stew pressure-cooking as ~I type (beef in wine). Not enough wind to sail so had to motor, probably the same tomorrow but at least it was pretty smooth (even the Swinge). More over the weekend!
